...Welcome to my life...

12 minutes past midnight and I am still awake. Sleepy since 9PM but my mind won't let me rest; bigger part of me want to stay up.
If not for nothing to do, I wouldn't be blogging. On second thought, I really have a lot of things to do! My daughter's birthday is coming 4 days from now! Until now, we really don't have a concrete plan on how or where we are going to celebrate it - because 3 days from now, my family is coming here to visit! Since last weekend, the whole family, yes, including Charisse!, has been cleaning up the house like as if we only moved in. On the 23rd of September, we'll be tidying again the whole house because come the 30th of September, we'll be departing to this house we've lived for a little over a year and then moving in to a new house (smaller, 2 bedroom house). Who wouldn't guess right what we'll be doing first thing when we are settled, hahaha!
See, just thinking about them makes me feel tired and sleepy and just want to do nothing. Hehehe.
Advance happy 2nd birthday to my dear Charisse!

Was trying to finish a project that is overdue but not by my fault. Set a different priority, but deadline wasn't moved!
Was working even on weekends, seeking help from my hubby. Mostly, he now take care of our daughter while I do home made coding. Some web part I cannot solve, was hoping he'd help me. But I don't know if it is tiredness or sleep that got the better of him, 10PM til now (1AM) he hasn't come out of the room though I assume my daughter is past asleep by now.
Makes me wanna give up on web development; what do I know about jstl, javascript, html, css -- mostly basics since most of my development life were spent on the backend... I hope hubby would effort to wake up coz I cannot wake him from his sleep just to make him help me do my work. Also, this afternoon, I was annoyed when he was trying to help me; maybe I cannot really blame him for choosing to sleep than to try to help me. ** Sigh **

We were at Sentosa Palawan Beach when my daughter saw a kid playing in the sand with his toy shovel. She was pointing at the toy, I know she wants one. She said, "Mommy, cook" while pointing at the shovel. I understood what she was trying to say, and how the toy shovel looked almost alike with her toy kitchenwares at home, hahahaha. I told my husband, "I think Charisse wants a castle bucket set" and my hubby, as always is ready to buy. When I saw him pull his wallet from his pocket, I smilingly asked him if he is buying Charisse a toy in which he answered yes. My husband, you see, is a very generous person when it comes to me and my daughter :) He'll give us whatever we want even if his pocket cannot produce any more money, just to see us happy.
It was already 9.30 in the evening when I noticed that my daughter hasn't cleaned up yet. I told her, "Anak, gabi na pala, di ka pa naglilinis (ng katawan)!". My very obedient daughter, stood up, went to the laudry area where our cleaning aids were, got the broom then went back to the living room to sweep the floor. My daughter is 1 year and 11 months.

I am a very economical person that some would usually take as stingy. I think twice (sometimes even more!) before spending on something, especially expensive ones. My definition of expensive is when I believe the amount that I am paying for is not worth of what I am buying. If I can have the same quality for a cheaper price, the better! That's why I never bought impulsively, something that may be a bit unbelievable for a woman. I booked my sister a one way flight from here to home. Fare rules come after the confirmation page of your booking, that is, after your payment. I was disappointed when I read from the fare rule page that YES, limited changes can be made to your booking, such as passenger name change! Ok, that should be good news, right? Then why am I disappointed? Because, few days ago, the supposed temporary caregiver of my daughter was denied exit by an immigration officer back home. She missed her flight, and her ticket is non-refundable. Hubby said he called the customer service from her supposed to be carrier but was told that passenger name change is not allowed. On top of that, after knowing too late that we could have just changed the passenger name instead of booking a new one for my sister, hubby just shrug his shoulders and told me, "it's just money, we will earn it in the future". I took it not as a consolation but as an insult added to the injury. Obviously, hubby and I have very different values when it comes to money; his is to spend it while mine is to save it.
